Last year, I wandered through the majestic splendor of Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, and I'm thrilled to share my experience—soak in the architecture, rituals, local color, and flavors that made this journey unforgettable. 🌅 Dawn at the Gopurams I reached around 5 AM , just as the temple gates opened. The morning light cast a serene glow over the towering gopurams —their walls bursting with thousands of vibrant statues. Early entry meant fewer crowds and maximum awe as each carving came alive in soft golden hues   Etiquette & Practical Tips Before stepping inside: Dress modestly—cover shoulders and legs; dhotis are available at the entrance   Leave shoes and electronics at secure lockers near each entrance.
