The Hidden Forts Around Matheran Worth Exploring
Most people visit Matheran for its viewpoints, forest trails, toy train rides, and cool weather. But while exploring the hills around Matheran, I slowly discovered another side of the region that made the experience even more interesting — the old forts hidden across the Sahyadri landscape. Some of these forts are not directly inside Matheran itself, but their presence can be felt from many viewpoints and trekking routes around the hill station.
